Dr. Lance E. LeClere, CAPT MC USNR is a Professor Orthopaedic Surgery at Vanderbilt University, Associate Fellowship Director for Sports Medicine, and Team Physician for the Nashville Predators Hockey Club. He served 15 years on Active Duty in the Navy before transitioning to the Reserves and started at Vanderbilt in 2021. From 2012 to 2015 he served as the Orthopaedic Consultant to the US Navy West Coast SEAL Teams and BUDs, was Director of Orthopaedic Research, and Assistant Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program Director at Naval Medical Center San Diego. From 2015 to 2021 he was stationed at the US Naval Academy and was the Head Team Physician for Naval Academy Varsity Athletics, as well as an Orthopaedic Consultant for the White House Medical Unit and the Attending Physician for the US Capitol. Dr. LeClere attended the University of Notre Dame for his undergraduate education, and received his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago before completing residency training at Naval Medical Center San Diego and Fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Combined Program.
